Bridging the gap
Bridging the Gap is an exciting new community initiative developed by Excella Lifestyles to connect students and seniors – ‘bridging the gap’ between generations to create new friendships and learning opportunities.
Callingwood Downs Retirement Residence has partnered with local schools to implement this initiative spanning from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
Students and seniors participate in activities together from crafting and reading to interactive games and performances.

Adopt-a-grandparent Program
The Adopt-a-Grandparent program focuses on bringing generations together to learn from one another and to grow in new ways.
This program is not limited to schools and we encourage all youth to take part in building rewarding relationships with seniors in our community.
