The Position

Interested in a career that makes a meaningful difference to people’s lives? We’re looking for friendly, empathetic, positive, and passionate people to join our housekeeping team.

This on-call position offers flexibility in schedule and supports continued learning and career development. Fun is also part of the job – we encourage a fun, supportive team environment.

Duties include (but are not limited to) thorough cleaning throughout the residence – including the cleaning of residents’ rooms and suites, bathrooms, staff rooms, offices, lounges, dining rooms, corridors, and other areas as designated.

Qualifications Required:

  • Housekeeping and/or Healthcare experience a strong asset;

  • Empathy for and understanding of the needs of seniors and their families;

  • Ability to respond to situations in a calm and professional manner;

  • Strong interpersonal skills and English communication skills required;

  • Self-directed with the ability to solve problems effectively and make decisions using sound judgement;

  • Positive and cooperative disposition with the ability to work effectively with others;

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to residents and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Housekeeping and building janitorial duties;

  • Cares for equipment, supplies and work areas and keeps equipment clean and safely stored;

  • Clean amenity spaces, remove garbage, and complete laundry.

  • Ensures that furniture is arranged to provide a safe and efficient environment;

  • Report significant changes or uncommon resident behaviour or concerns to management;

  • Greet/screen visitors and patrol the residence to ensure that our residents are safe;

  • Perform other duties as required.
